- Self-starter, communicative, pro-active documentation and good written communication, drive and ability to follow a process that we together agree upon
- Instead of daily stand ups we rely on design docs, pro-active communication and pairing
- Prioritize unblocking others with quick design doc and code reviews and other help
- Enjoy working together in person 1-2 days a week and open to travelling to company get-togethers every 3-4 months

You are senior enough to get a broad problem description, research and pull people in as needed, drive a design document to refine your solution and get feedback and deliver a clean implementation reasonably on time all the way to production.
You have built web-scale infrastructure successfully before (e.g. millions of users, strict latency & availability requirements, message queues and distributed systems, multi-region, etc). -
- You contribute to “how vector compute should be done”, not just work on “tasks”.
- You enjoy seeing how your idea can create a value for a customer even the same day, without politics or red tape (our CEO is an engineer who left YouTube because of red tape & politics).
- You have a drive to get the work done, even if it sometimes means pushing longer hours or kicking off the next round of model training on Saturday.
